The challenge: proactive distribution grid operations

Härryda Energi, the distribution system operator serving the Härryda municipality east of Gothenburg, wanted to move from reacting to outages to preventing them — without rebuilding its measurement infrastructure.

2 MHz waveform analytics on every 10 kV feeder

In October 2025, Eneryield deployed IntelliView® at the Solsten substation in Mölnlycke, covering all outgoing 10 kV lines — the full-digitalization route, with EcoPhi QMU 800 measurement hardware streaming waveform data at 2 MHz resolution: millions of measurements per second, where conventional systems sample in the kilohertz range.

That resolution is what makes the difference: the earliest signatures of an evolving fault — micro-transients from a cracking insulator or a tree branch brushing a line — live in details that standard sampling never sees.

The outcome

IntelliView® now detects, localizes and predicts faults on Härryda Energi’s feeders in real time. The deployment was covered by the Swedish energy industry magazine Tidningen Energi as an example of AI making distribution grids more resilient.

Why it matters

This is not a lab pilot — it is predictive grid operations running in the Swedish distribution system, day and night. It is also the blueprint for how Eneryield deployments start: one substation, existing infrastructure plus high-resolution measurement, results the operations team can verify against their own grid.
